In a true team victory; the four touchdowns were scored by four different players: Gabe McCaughey on a 17 yard run, Dallas Wright on a 44 yard run, Max Evans on a 46 yard interception return, and Brenden Smith on a 1 yard run. Amazingly, the Wildcats were able to win without completing a pass as 50 of their 55 plays were running plays. Dallas Wright had a big game carrying the ball 20 times for 124 yards. Quarterback Max Evans carried 7 times for 54 yards. Running backs Gabe McCaughey (10 carries for 55 yards), Brenden Smith (10/47) and Anethon Thiravong (3/7) all had solid games.

Knoxville beats Freshmen Cats 12-6
The Carlisle Freshman football team traveled to Knoxville and lost a close game by the score of 12-6. After a scoreless first half, Knoxville was able to convert a 4th down for a 30 yard touchdown pass late in the 3rd quarter and then put together a touchdown drive in the 4th quarter to take a 12-0 lead. The Wildcats mounted a late comeback. They drove the field and scored on a 7 yard touchdown run by Max Evans to cut the deficit to 12-6. However, the Wildcats were unable to convert the ensuing onside kick and Knoxville ran out the clock to seal the victory. Quarterback Max Evans completed four passes: three to Alex Owens and one to Cody Hutchens. Evans also ran 10 times for 60 yards. Running backs Gabe McCaughey and Brenden Smith contributed 34 and 12 yards respectively.

Freshmen fall to Osky
The Carlisle Freshen Football team traveled to Oskaloosa on September 13th and were defeated by the Indians with the final score being 31-6. Once again the Wildcats suffered from a slow start and trailed 19-0 at half. However, the Wildcats regrouped at half-time and played a very competitive second half. The Wildcat offense was able to move the ball but turnovers and penalties kept them out of the end zone except for a fourth quarter touchdown run of four yards by Dallas Wright. Leading rushers were Gabe McCaughey (14 carries for 51 yards), Dallas Wright(9 for 48), Brenden Smith(13 for 37) and Max Evans(5 for 11). Despite three interceptions and two sacks, the Wildcats were effective throwing the ball with Max Evans completing seven passes in fifteen attempts and Quinton Thompson completing a pass as well. Several receivers caught passes: Alex Owens (2 catches for 27 yards), Joshua Black (2 for 25), Andrew Black (1 for 20), Sam Martin (1 for 20), Dallas Wright(1 for 12), and Evan Larsen(1 for 6).
Although the Wildcat defense gave up 31 points, it played well considering the number of times Oskaloosa was able to get the ball through turnovers. Quinton Thompson had an interception while Max Evans and Travis Johnston had tackles for losses. Other defenders who contributed (unassisted/assisted tackles): Brenden Smith(3/4), Max Evans(3/4), Travis Johnston(3/2), Joshua Black(2/3), Gabe McCaughey(1/3), and Connor Hage(1/2).
